International Shipping to USA Address for Forwarding - Not Able to Combine
Through our non-profit we had a bunch of items sell recently. A man from Spain purchased two items. The items are shipped to IL for forwarding. I attempted my usual Send an Invoice so I can combine everything and it said I can't for international sales. OK. I let them know they would need to pay separately. He did pay and somehow he got them combined, when I couldn't. He then sent a "nasty-gram":
"Robert here. You omitted to advise that l could have initiated combined shipping from you to entitle a revised invoice being sent with reduced shipping cost. The process is important and experienced sellers are aware of the issues."
What the heck does this mean? Our non-profit is newer to selling on eBay and have sold to international buyers before but not more than one item at a time.
I did get the label printed and then refunded the excess postage. What more should I have done?
Thanks.
P.S. This is not the account the non-profit is selling under.

·4 months agoI think If the buyer checks out and pays within their shopping cart the orders can be combined and get one eIS reference number. They will pay on the weight, not necessarily on the box size. If they pay for each separately then each item gets their own eIS shipping number and then they must ship individually.
Im never sure how eBay handles an increase in a box size for international orders if stated incorrectly in the listing. For domestic orders, as long as we put the correct size in at the time of buying the label we are ok, but if the size is off in the listing for international shipments, I don't know how that is handled which is a factor for combining shipments

You can't combine orders when shipping via EIS.
