International Shipping
What are your pros and cons? I am doing some research on it. I can see there are differences and I have a better shipping service than what ebay offers. Pitney bowes can't do what the shipping I have can do.
But lets hear from some of you. What is the good, the bad and the ugly? I plan to ship pecans, books, games, coffee beans and more. Have to see what I have.

OP3 years agoI talked to another rep and I found the answer. the 3 dots , it doesn't show up in the app it shows up in the desktop. Changes to what the item is and I revised, then went to that item and the change is there. They now need to do another change. the photos area, if people want to upload a video format, ebay needs to look into that. Another ecommerce company has it enabled so ebay should be able to. appreciate the comments and answers. ready to ship worldwide.

·3 years agoIf you ship internationally direct, you also run the risk of INR cases since many countries do not offer tracking, there are buyers who allow the item to sit and not pay VAT and fees until after they have been refunded, and sticky fingered postal and customs workers. I learned a few expensive lessons before I finally decided NO MORE INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING!

OP3 years agoThe software that I have offers tracking and ensures that the delivery gets there. I am going to test market what I can. Perhaps books, pecans, to puzzles, etc. stuff like that.

·3 years agoPersonally I do not and would not use eBay's overpriced International services.
eBay has announced (in the monthly chat last week) that the rates will be reduced very soon. I will look at the new rates when they come out but I highly doubt that they will be that much better.
Right now I'm paying MUCH less, they are charging the same rate for 1/2 lb as 1 lb, I ship a lot of 4 - 6 oz and am paying less than half what eBay charges, even on 1 lb I'm paying about 30% less, even more to some destinations.
There are some added protections and covering the normal International fee are good perks but a couple of points isn't going to make much of a dent in the price differential. As far as the added "protection"......I don't need it.

·3 years agoI offer eBay Global Shipping for many items that are not fragile and it has worked out well. It is more expensive for buyers, so I sometimes ship directly to other countries, especially for buyers who buy multiple things. The shipping is atrocious for that. On the other hand, I refuse to use them for things that could be damaged in shipment. PB repacked some of my items and they arrived damaged. They removed bubble wrap and packing peanuts and put my items in smaller boxes. Even things I thought couldn't be damaged were damaged thanks to their efforts to save weight and space. Apparently others have had a similar experience and also learned not to trust them.
