International shipping
I'm kind of wary about this program - whether or not an item will actually get to where it's supposed to go with no hassles.
A couple of questions:
- Will they ship to China?
- How much postage is required, e.g., enough to get a package to the shipping hub, or enough to get to the final destination?
- Does the seller need to complete a customs declaration, or indicate in any way what is being shipped?
- Are there extra fees for the service, and if so, how are they collected?
- Are "lost" or non-delivery claims handled by ebay, or are they the responsibility of the seller?

1. Unless you have China blocked for some reason, eBay International Shipping (EIS) will ship to China.
2. The seller pays ONLY the necessary domestic postage for the item to reach the EIS hub -- the buyer pays all other international shipping charges.
3. The U. S. Customs declaration is handled by the EIS hub -- not the seller.
4. Except for domestic shipping to the EIS hub, there are no other additional charges.
5. Once the item has been confirmed as "received" by the EIS hub, there is no further responsibility for the seller -- EIS handles ALL problems and complaints after that point.

·2 years agoI only ship through the ebay shipping, and recently I looked at my blocked bidder report and found a bunch from a buyer in China that ebay said were blocked because I don't ship to their location. I have no restrictions on international shipping through the EIS, but they clearly must have some.

·2 years agoYou will run into some situations such as a buyer giving only an address in Chinese and not responding to emails to get an address in English. I don't know why the eBay system allows buyers to only state an address in Chinese. I kinda got tired of the hassles and ended blocking China.
Of course, I was using USPS and not eBay shipping labels.
There is this language barrier sometimes when it comes to exchanging emails between seller and buyer.
Chinese address usually has the buyer's telephone number with their address...and that confuses the zip codes sometimes because telephone number is near the zip code.
