If you didn't already have a phone number on the account that may be the problem. Courier services like to call and arrange delivery. It's not like a package being dropped off by the local Post Office. If you have the tracking number get the Courier's name and try giving them a call.

OP2 years agoMy package has been shipped back to seller in USA as they tried to deliver three times to an address that the shipping company says is incorrect
I did contact ebay and ebay tried to help me and was hopeful it would be delivered to me but shipping company did not have the same customer service attitude
I contacted the seller and he said he was doubtful he will receive the package !?

OP2 years agoThis got me thinking could I have been scammed
“Say I advertise a 3k laptop which I don’t have then somebody buys the lap top if I was a scammer what is there to stop me putting an address that doesn’t exist so the non laptop never arrives but the scammer keeps the money
what protection is there for the buyer against this ?
How can my address not exist it’s ludicrous! Yes I feel scammed .

·2 years agoIf the item hasn't been shipped yet you can contact the seller and ask them to either cancel the order or to fix the address. Most sellers will prefer to cancel the order and will ask you to buy again using the correct address.
If the package has already been mailed all the seller can do is recall the package which there is a charge for or wait for the package to come back to them once the package can't be delivered.
