If I'm sending Jewelry to eBay's Authenticator over $750, do I need to Add Signature Confirmation?
I just sold a piece of Jewelry over the $750 Limit, and I'm going to be sending it to eBay's Authenticator. From what I read $750 is the limit for where you have to purchase Signature Confirmation in order to get Seller Protection, but since it is going to eBay's Authenticator and not a Customer that could claim something for me to lose my money,etc, is a signature still required? From what I read it seems to be the case that I need it, but I just wanted to double check and make sure if it's required or not, since I don't see an issue arising from the Authenticator claming they never got it if tracking says delivered, as I see that for both the Authenticator and eBay's International Hub, it is required for an "Agent" to collect the package, and packages aren't just dropped off.
I guess this question could also be applied to eBays International Hub for items above $750 as well, since it's the same situation where an "Agent" accepts the packages.
Do we need Signature confirmation?

·5 months agoYes, eBay requires it for seller "protection," whatever that's worth. The USPS calls it Signature Tracking these days, and I think UPS calls it Signature Required.

Yes, you do. Signature Confirmation is not only required because of scamming buyers. It offers protection against shipping carrier errors as well.

Signature Confirmation on items costing $750 is an eBay requirement. I don’t know whether insurance payouts have the same requirements.

·5 months agoINSURANCE is different from ebay seller protection.
Insurance comes from the carrier. Seller protection comes from eBay.
