I want to pay for buyer's international shipping, how?

I've listed my first ebay auction, usually I sell Buy It Now, and a watcher messaged me asking if I'd ship to NZ and if so how much more. I listed it with Free Shipping under Domestic Shipping but I'd like to include International.

Below Domestic Shipping, for International Shipping, under Cost Type, I turned that radio button on, and selected Flat rate regardless of buyer's location.

Below that is Rate Table, which only has one selection: None.

Are these settings correct if I want to pay for shipping myself using USPS Priority International Flat Rate box should the buyer from NZ win the auction? Will ebay allow the bidder to even win the auction with these settings? I'm not buying shipping through ebay, I'm using a flat rate box from USPS.

The Rate Table also says (optional). Your settings are OK. There is no reason for ebay not to allow them to bid, unless you have excluded NZ from your shipping locations.

Your one auction still shows as shipping only to the US. I noticed that you are using ebay international shipping for the other listings, but it isn't showing up for the auction.   Right now a buyer in NZ could bid on your item as you don't have the country blocked but you would have to send them an invoice with the shipping cost if they won as there is no shipping cost on the listing.  I assume that the buyer will be paying for shipping as it will be fairly expensive to send to NZ.  If the package is under 4 lbs it would be less expensive to send with first class international rather than Priority. There is tracking with first class to some countries including NZ.

You could also set up international shipping on your listing but because of the way eBay has it set up the only way to specify international shipping  NZ only you would have to block all other countries.  If you want to do that or want to offer the auction to specific countries,  someone here can help you set up the shipping properly.

Edit:  I just reread your title and noticed that you want to pay for the buyers shipping.  Just because you have free domestic shipping doesn't mean that you are required to pay for international but if course you can do that if you want. Have you already checked out what it would cost you?

Thanks, great advice. Yes, I've checked out shipping fees to NZ. The trains were my fathers, I'm selling them on ebay to others who are into trains, with just enough profit to prevent my father spinning in his grave. lol I don't want to throw them away.

Thank you for your advice, I do sometimes sell other things on ebay and the info was helpful.
