I sold a lot a long time ago and now they complain that it was not sent
Hello
I'll tell you what happened to me today
I sold a lot on Ended: Apr 11, 2024 17:11:43 PDT
and it sends a message saying that it never received the lot
The problem is that a lot of time passed and I don't have the option to see the tracking number. I'm sure that I sent it
and then it sends another message with a tracking number saying that it was never created
So what do you advise me to do in this regard
Is there a way to see the tracking number from eBay?
Thanks

Our records confirm USPS delivered the package on April 17th.

Then block.

OP1 year agoI sent a message to the buyer explaining everything and gave him the TR number that was sent and that it took a long time to claim
and his response was
Yeah I didn't realize.I know it's been almost a year, I just thought I would reach out.Thank you anyways and have a great weekend

·1 year agoDo nothing and block the buyer.
That's it.
Wouldn't even send an email to them before blocking them.

·1 year agoThey are well past the time to do anything about it through eBay. Just advise them it's far too late to do anything about it now. Even if you had the tracking number it may have already aged out of the system. Many years ago you could pull up many of them over a year old but that changed.

@kriselrima2012
I'd not make that ^^^ leap. Maybe the buyer has simply forgotten that it was received. You're covered... let it go.

·1 year agoFor USPS shipping labels purchased through eBay I can go to "all transactions" to see the tracking # used for the shipment. (yes, way back in April)
At USPS dot com it may be possible to get info on that # by paying $10 to USPS. That is for a "premium service" . Not sure if it works after the fact but it appears that it does. USPS stores some info internally much longer than it is available to users.
Your item is eligible for USPS Tracking Plus Archives.

·1 year agoThe buyer cannot open a non-delivery case or any other case. The transaction is gone.
The only option might be opening a credit card chargeback, but even that might not be possible.

·1 year agoWho waits 9 months to complain about a so called non delivery ? I would tell them good bye.
your under no further need to bother with these people !

OP1 year agoHello, thanks for your reply
In this case, the buyer should open a non-delivery case or it is too late for that
I have no way of finding this transaction or the real tracking number
buyselljack2016
·1 year agoTracking # would likely no longer be available. It would drop out of the system after that long. That is why your buyer is seeing the message that it was never created.
Buyer has 30 days after the estimated delivery date to open a claim with eBay for not receiving their purchase.
Some credit card services allow much longer.

OP1 year agoThank you all very much for responding
So please give me some advice on how to respond to this buyer's message
What can I say?
buyselljack2016
·1 year agoNot sure what to tell you. I baby sit every sale, so I would have known if the item was shown as delivered.

·1 year ago"Hello- I'm sorry but the transaction is too old and is no longer in the ebay system for me to do anything. It's also too old to see the tracking information in the USPS tracking system. Thanks"
Then, I would add that buyer to your blocked list so you won't see any response, nor can they buy from you ever again.

·1 year agoDo NOT respond. It has been NINE months.
momtoabeautifuldaughter
·1 year agoApologize and tell them they had 30 day money back guarantee on eBay and 6 months with their payment source.
Also promptly block this buyer
asset_liquidators
·1 year agoNo, "in this case" you should not even respond to someone trying to claim non-delivery 9 months later.
