I sold 3 items to the same buyer. The buyer requestd combined shipping after paying

Question

I had already printed 3 labels for the 3 purchases. I ended up sending a refund to offset the shipping but it still is packaged and labeled separately. How could I have corrected the shipping to 1 label for the future?

By simply buying 1 label for 1 item, then adding the tracking for the other 2 items (off to the left of any sold item there is a 'print label' and a drop down, where you 'add tracking'.

Then, you can refund the buyer for each add'l item.

In the future, go to the Bulk shipping labels page here https://www.ebay.com/ship/bulk/

If the buyer has purchased using the same ID and the orders are going to the same address, you can combine the orders for shipping in one package and print just one label. The tracking number will be automatically added to the orders.

Now, returns and items getting lost(supposedly) are going to be so much more simple for you...correct?

Sending a refund is nice and you are not doing the nickel and dime the buyer for shipping like other sellers here.

And someone buying 3 items vs. 1 item...that's a 'keeper' because they might be a 'repeat buyer'.

Just my thoughts.

Cancel all the single labels, combine to one label, and refund the difference. The USPS takes forever to refund you back, but you'll get it once those previous labels expire.

You could have added the items (Order 1) to one box, weighed and printed adequate postage, then entered the tracking number assigned to Orders 2 and 3.

Were I you, I would Void the three labels you won't be using... if you choose to proceed as stated above. Good luck.
