I am the Victim of a Brushing Scam!
Two weeks ago, I posted that I was receiving packages that I did not order. Seems they are all packages from Amazon and have my address with someone else's name. No return address or packing information included. Thus far, I have received 5-packages and I now have 5 pairs of men Vostey loafers, a case of pop tarts (donated to food pantry), a case of Manchurian Raman chicken noodles (ate some) and 10 jars of Anairui eggplant/kale face mask.
I reported the first delivery to Amazon CS and the last two (2) packages I reported those to Amazon Security using their online form. That is where I saw Amazon Brushing Scam. Anyway, I thought I should also call Amazon CS and tell them the name of the person whose name is on the package in case his account was hacked. I forgot customer service is a call center and English is a 3-rd language.
Has anyone been a victim of a brushing scam and will this get resolved?

·3 years agoDepending upon where you live, you may have legal obligations in terms of returning the items. I live in a state where items I did not order incur no obligation & we are notified we can actually keep them with no obligation free of charge. But, they have to be addressed to us.

·3 years agoI’ve received several deliveries from Home Depot that I didn’t order. They were cheap items cost of under $1.00 items were plastic outlet covers and some PVC connectors. All packages had my name on them and were delivered with UPS and FedEx. I called Home Depot told them what been happening… so far no more deliveries.

·3 years ago"The fact that someone could have the items sent to you as if you purchased them indicates that they have some of your personal information, such as your name, address, and, possibly, phone number" uhm... this is called a telephone book... I guess they don't make them anymore people forgot this information just use to be thrown out there 😂
