I am curious about ESE and Buy it Now
I listed a card for $49. Did not know the rules about ESE (only for cards less the $20)..so since my listing was Buy it Now and price was $49 why was I even given the option to let the buyer choose ESE? Could it maybe be because i had offers turned on and there could me a miniscule chance that someone (me) would accept an offer of less theb half of what i listed at?

·2 years agoBecause the system doesn't look at the price. You started at a price above what that 'shipping' system is designed for and the 'system' will not STOP you...until you try to buy. YOU chose 'how' the item was going to ship so YOU set it up that way.
In the future, don't use that 'type' of shipping service on items over $20 or that are going to sell for (if auction) for MORE than $20.

OP2 years agoThank you...i figured most of that out. I just kinda figured it was crappy to allow us yo choose an option that would not be available for purchase after the sale. If the system can look at the price AFTER the sale it couldn't be more than a few lines of code to do the same thing during listing...Not all of us are veteran sellers...granted, i have been doing this for awhile now and should have known better. But still, as i stated already, i think it is kinda messed up...After researching ESE i don't think i am going to be using it anymore anyway...

·2 years agoLike Media Mail, you can choose it on some listings, but if it isn't listed in a category that supports Media Mail, you can't buy the shipping label through Ebay after it's sold.
