I’ve ordered a package 3 months ago, it hasn’t arrived yet, have I been scammed?
So back in february I ordered a soccer jersey that was in stock that was very limited and I bought it off of a canadian seller, so basically it did include tracking and I even paid extra for “premium†packaging that helps the item cross the countries, at first it seemed all normal and I thought it would take not more than 2 weeks (as the delivery date said march 2nd, the day I bought it was february 17th), and if you’re asking, yeah I thoroughly searched through his feedback and it all seemed legit and 100% good feedback, after a few weeks the tracking was still on everything gray, it didn’t even pass or “check†the delivered stage, and I asked the buyer about it, he said the item didn’t come with tracking and he started saying to just wait because it was some problem related to canadian package border problems, and he kept insisting that for 2 months straight until April, until he stopped replying to me, so I have heavy doubts:
1. What can I do?, yes I forgot to ask for a refund because I was too late and the seller kept insisting to “wait†and he kept avoiding the question of “can I get a refundâ€, and yes I forgot to message ebay directly because I just wanted to wait it out. I heard the only method is chargeback but I didn’t use PayPal and I’d have to contact directly to the bank.
2. Have I been scammed?, because the seller was super uncooperative regarding the “avoiding the refund question†and told me to wait everytime I reached out with the excuse of the canadian border problems and that I apparently “hadn’t bought the tracking†when I paid an extra 10 bucks for it.
3. The tracking still up to this day is everything gray, not even the delivered (first stage) is on the blue check.

·1 year agoContact your bank and file a chargeback on your credit card. Normally, this should always be a last resort, but in this case you have no other recourse.
Packages can get held up and delayed in customs for a week or two, that happens. The biggest red flag was the fact the seller was avoiding the issue of a refund. He certainly should have refunded you after 30 days.

You are far outside the eBay MBG of 30 days. Sorry
A credit card dispute is all you have left.
I'm sorry.. Next time do NOT fall for what the seller is saying to you. Once the delivery date has passed, if you have no package file the "item not received" case under "more options."

·1 year agoALL eBay buyers, as well as ALL eBay sellers, owe it to themselves to get acquainted with the Money Back Guarantee, preferably BEFORE beginning to buy or sell here.
In the listing where you made this purchase, you saw an estimated delivery date. Evidently, that date was satisfactory for your purposes, or you would not have made the purchase, right?
You had 30 days past the last estimated delivery date to open an item not received case with eBay. If the last estimated delivery date was March 2nd, that option is gone.
If you open an NAD case within the 30 day limit, the seller is required to refund you. He has no choice; however, if he chooses to disregard this rule, eBay will refund you from his funds.
Now your only recourse is to do a chargeback on whatever credit card you used.
If you plan to continue shopping on eBay, please read the MBG.
You paid extra for premium packaging "to help it cross the countries"? That alone is a scam.
