How to handle shipping charges when the number purchased can vary

I have several antique plates that are all the same. I will offer them as one or more. How is shipping calculated when selling multiple items? For example, if they purchase one or maybe all 6?

@jr.colorado On the upper left part of any eBay page, above the search bar, you will see your name. Click that and then "Account Settings."

Scroll down and on the left side under "Selling" you will see "Shipping Preferences." Click that. Next, look for "Combined shipping rules," then click "edit" on the right side.

Select the pencil symbol beside either "Flat shipping rule" or "Calculated shipping rule," depending on which method you use.

From there you can add a flat amount per item if you are using flat rate or, if you use calculated, you can have eBay combine all item weights to come up with the appropiate postage the buyer pays or you can have eBay combine all weights then subtract a value you input if you want to give a discount.

Keep in mind that when eBay adds weights it does not consider the size of the package. If someone buys all of your plates and eBay combines the weight, it may not be enough if you require a different size box.
