1. you will have to verify the shipping cost by UPS - always found UPS to be higher on most of their shipping rates - you may not like that- plus I always had my shipment picked up at my home by the USPS carrier vs driving to the UPS office - pick up at a UPS drop box does assure that it will be picked up and scanned in the UPS system - not a good thing for you too.
2. While you two are working this detail out some other person can come along a just buy it - making an offer does not take it off the market only a payment does- he or she who hesitates some times losses.

·9 months agoI stick to my shipping terms...you'll find another buyer, & maybe even at your full asking price. Buyers have reasons why they want a certain courier, and so do sellers. If I switch to UPS or FedEx it will come with a $3-5 handling charge added to shipping, maybe more...
But you have received ideas and ways of doing this, so it is up to you if you want to switch it up

·9 months agoYou can just agree and then after they but it you can select UPS when you ship it.
You may want to check how much it will cost, you can use pirate ship for that
If it is the monopoly game it will probably be cheaper UPS.
I live in Illinois and it says $150 shipping

·9 months agoI'd decline the offer, telling the buyer why, go edit the listing to include UPS, and then tell him to make the same offer....that you will accept.....(if that's what you want)

·9 months ago@angellyn0625 You cannot change the carrier when an offer is pending. If the buyer sent you an offer, you do not have to make the change. They have already agreed to your shipping method by submitting the offer. I'd accept the offer, then let the buyer know that you cannot honor their request because UPS costs more. Then, if they are still insisting they want UPS, they can cancel their order.
If you sent the buyer an offer and they are telling you they will accept the offer if you use UPS, then they will need to deny your offer in order for you to change it. Before you go through all of that though you need to use eBay's shipping calculator to see if it is going to be more. Your buyer is looking for a bargain and probably will not want to pay the additional cost for UPS.

·9 months agoThis is an excellent reason not to accept an offer.
Even if you ship via UPS this will probably not be the last issue to be dealt with from this buyer.

·9 months agoI do not believe you can change a listing while an offer is outstanding.
UPS most likely will cost more than USPS so keep that in mind as the offer that you sent did not include shipping costs to the buyer, the costs were on the listing. So if it ends up costing you more to ship you cannot get this money back from the buyer.
When I have been asked to do this before I have stated that I only use USPS.

·9 months agoWhen there is an active offer, most revisions are not possible, because less ethical sellers would take advantage of that to change listings to something the buyer did not intend to purchase before accepting an offer, if that protection was not in place. My suggestion would be to decline the offer but with a note to the buyer suggesting they resubmit after you make the requested change, if you are willing to change the shipping carrier.
