How to cancel a shipping label and add more insurance to the new label
Summary: theo2112 had a situation where a customer changed their order after a shipping label was printed, increasing the total cost significantly. beautifuljewelrynyc and kensgiftshop provided guidance on how to cancel the unused shipping label, purchase a new one, and add extra insurance. Both confirmed that the carrier would eventually refund the unused label, though it might take several weeks.
Hi!
I had a customer who said they were done bidding and paid for their items.
And after I printed the shipping label they decided to bid on more things that will bring the price of the items to $350.00 instead of $95.00
Can I cancel my shipping label?
And how do I cancel it and get a new label?
Does EBay refund me for the label I won’t use?
And will I be able to add extra insurance when I buy the new label?
Any help is appreciated.
Thank you

·3 weeks agoGo to your shipping label page and you'll be able to void the unused shipping label.
The carrier will issue the refund once they know the label wasn't used, which could be 3 to 4 weeks.
Yes, you can add insurance on the next label.

·3 weeks agoGo to "Orders", then "Shipping labels", pull down "Action" next to the item, you will see "cancel label". After the label is cancelled, the order will go back to "Awaiting shipment", then you can buy get a new label and add extra insurance. Yes, the not used label will be refunded, but not right away. Carriers take a long time to refund.
