How do you access different zip codes to determine approximate shipping costs?
It used to seem so easy to do this, and I know there's still a way, but can't find it now. Once I discover how to do it again, I'm going to write it down this time. I'm looking to try zipcodes from different areas of the country to see what the difference in cost might be. Thanks for any help.

·9 months agoI agree with mamacassidy. The Pirate Ship calculator is simple and provides their actual UPS and USPS rates.

·9 months agoHow is the shipping calculator not giving you what you want? Put in you zip code and then try it with an east coast, west coast, mid coast south coast zip code.
So much easier to list with calculated shipping Plus for us states without tax on shipping, I don't like sellers baking it into the items cost, when they do, we then pay taxes on shipping

·9 months agoThey have free shipping so the calculator would not be visible to use. They need to go outside of eBay as suggested.

OP8 months ago"They have free shipping so the calculator would not be visible to use." Yeah but I've always used free shipping and yet have always been able to access different zip code rates. Something definitely seems to have changed as to how the shipping calculator works, unless I'm just not finding the right place on the form.

OP8 months ago"Put in your zip code"....where? At either of the two places on the shipping calculator page? Doesn't work because one is for where the item is coming from and the other is for where it's going. I tried the latter and nothing happens.
Never used calculated shipping but I'll consider trying that. I just got so used to doing free shipping.
Thanks for all the suggestions and replies!

·9 months agoOn the right side of your listing page, click on "See Details" and enter any zip code. *It will not calculate on a free shipping listing.*

OP9 months agoYeah but I'd first have to list the item before I could do that. I'm looking to determine a median shipping cost before listing (being that I do free shipping) based on a zip code cost that's somewhere generally mid-US and then I'll determine how much I want to charge for the item. I suspect that the range eBay provides for any shipping service selected is probably about the same thing that I'd find by searching zipcodes between the west and east coast.

OP9 months ago*It will not calculate on a free shipping listing.* Ahhh..this might be what I did before - choosing customer pay option and then exploring zipcodes from there. I seem to recall being able to access the different rates though with free shipping selected.
Nope...just tried that and it's no different. I suspect they eliminated the option I'm referring to.

OP9 months agoAgreed, and I have all that filled out, but where would you enter a different zip code to see what it costs from my zipcode to somewhere else? There are two places to enter a zipcode: "Ship from" (country and zip code) and also "Ship to" (country and zip code). Neither of those seems to be what I'm looking for.
