How can I ship a King size bed to Canada?
I had a king size bed for sale on eBay. Someone from Canada asked me about shipping, or the cost of shipping to Canada. I was unable to obtain any shipping information for a 200 pound bed to go to Canada from the United States. He ended up buying the bed anyway, somehow eBay calculated a shipping fee of over $700 but I am having difficulty finding someone that will actually ship the item for me to Canada

·9 months agoIt just isn't practical for a single seller to ship something this large and heavy, and certainly not internationally, unless it's quite valuable and the wealthy buyer just has to have it at almost any price.

·9 months agoYou could try calling some long distance moving companies. They will often take such jobs to fill space on their trucks. However, you don't get on line tracking. Some items are just too big to ship.

Your listing has UPS Worldwide Express PlusSM, which is for an extremely fast international courier service with a guaranteed delivery date. That's why the cost is so high, $750.
For domestic USA shipping, it has USPS Ground Advantage for $85.64, so that indicates that the weight and dimensions on the listing are way too small. You should have selected freight shipping instead of your usual shipping policy.
If you can't find a freight company that will ship it for $750, then you should cancel the transaction as @eoma689485 suggested.

·9 months agoLarge furniture almost always needs freight shipping, and eBay’s built‑in calculator isn’t designed for freight, which is why the $700.00 is far from what it would actually cost.
Cancel the transaction as a problem with buyer's address or inquire if the buyer would be willing to cancel, if so, cancel for that reason.
Then if you do relist the bed, list it with local pick-up only, do not offer shipping - and if anyone inquires about shipping, state that it is cost prohibited.
