hit with late shipping due to blizzard lost top rated seller status
i live on the eastern shore on Monday we were it with a historic blizzard closing most businesses a stag 3 travel band was in affect no one was allowed on the road except emergency service and first responders both of the small post offices in our area were closed. we were supposed to ship out 8 items on that Monday of course that was impossible. eBay hit us with 8 late shipping violations which has costed us our top rated sellers statues. i contacted them early Monday morning the 23rd they said if we did get hit with late shipping contact them back it would be removed we did that as soon as we were hit with the late shipping 3 days later still not removed or corrected, costed us more on our shipping since we have lost our top rater seller status this is ridiculous, that as sellers we are punished for things out of our control fix this eBay now.

·6 months ago@wastingtime101 I read it that @jade73 felt they would lose sales due to losing top rated, but reading it again, I think they mean losing the top rated fee discount on fees which will cost them money... not sure though.
@jade73 We had the Blizzard on Sunday and Monday, my orders due to be shipped on Monday was impossible since all post offices in my part of the state were closed, nor could anyone drive anywhere at that point. They went out on Tuesday and yes I contacted the customers to let them know. Mine also say 2 late orders as of now, March 3rd. Ebay will remove them on their own so I am not worried about it.

·6 months agoYou should be covered. Btw, all sellers who face this situation, do communicate with your buyers that items will have weather delays. Im on the west coast and I really don't pay any attention to east coast weather. Last item I sold to east coast, I did mention possible weather delays, but really had no idea if that destination was affected or not

·6 months agoHi @jade73 . Your level has not been affected - your feedback page clearly shows you're still Top Rated from the Feb 20th evaluation. What you're seeing is "if we evaluated you today" however the next seller evaluation does not take place until March 20th.
eBay is offering seller protections for the storm:
https://community.ebay.com/t5/Shipping/Severe-blizzard-conditions-in-the-Northeast-may-lead-to-shipping/m-p/35497225#M523481
The late shipping will be removed from your account automatically, but not instantly. It usually happens a day or two before the monthly evaluation on the 20th. Be patient. Don't waste time or resources contacting customer service. This is how it works:

Also, this statement you made is false:
"costed us more on our shipping since we have lost our top rater seller status"
Your shipping rates were unaffected. Why do you believe they were? Provide specific weight, dimensions, to/from zip codes, shipping service, the rate you paid, and the rate you think you should have paid.
