Held at post office at buyers request for 2 weeks??
Order shipped June 19. Delivery attempted June 24. Buyer then requested order be held at post office. It is now July 10. We have messaged the buyer - no reply.
What do we do? The delivery was attempted, now held at post office. The Ebay order screens shows this:
"Running behind, original estimate was Sat, Jun 22 - Thu, Jun 27". Called the post office - let it ring for a good half-hour.
Question is: will Ebay view this as a late delivery? And will it affect our metrics? We'd like it delivered; in fact we view it as delivered.

·2 years agoYour buyer probably has their mail and packages held at the post office. They may be on vacation and unable to respond to your message.
According to eBay's MBG the package is considered delivered even if a delivery attempt is made.

OP2 years agoYes, I had thought of that. But 2 weeks? I'd hoped for a reply from her.

There are some individuals who can afford to take vacations of two weeks (or longer).
And they might be in areas with poor reception for responding to messages.
And, since the post office has confirmed that they have attempted delivery, you're off the hook.
Which doesn't explain why you are attempting to contact your buyer.

Attempted delivery is considered (by ebay) to be delivered.
If the buyer opens INR, you must respond to the case with the tracking number. When ebay sees that delivery was attempted, the case should close in your favor.
