Hazmat printing on all USPS Ground labels
We printed multiple labels this morning and noticed all printed with the Hazmat label. I spoke with a representative from eBay. The answer I was given was to just send the packages Hazmat or call USPS. She said that this was not an eBay problem, but a USPS problem.
I just spoke with another representative that stated this is a widespread problem, and eBay will hopefully have a fix later today. She also advised not to send everything Hazardous mail... Hope this helps!

According to eBay this problem is fixed, but you'll need to void your affected labels and purchase new ones.
To void a shipping label purchased through eBay, go to this page, find the order and select Cancel from the Actions drop-down. The cancel option is available for 28 days.
It takes between 2-4 weeks to receive a refund on an unused, voided label as the carrier wants to make sure the label isn't used. You'll see the refund on your original source of payment (eBay funds, bank, credit card, etc) and the funds will appear in your account without an email notification.

·1 year agoI am on the east coast and contacted eBay cust. service around 9:15am. I was told it was an eBay issue and would be fixed in a few hours.
They cancelled my label (thankfully only had 1) and gave me an immediate refund. I was told to use UPS or Fed Ex but that is not convenient for me. I went to USPS.com and printed my own label using the enhanced click and ship which is a discounted rate. I was charged .81 more than eBay was charging but I was told to call back and eBay would refund any additional postage I paid be it from USPS.com or by taking items to the post office to mail.
Yes, it's only .81 more but with all the eBay fees, I will call back to get that refunded as well.

·1 year agoI have this same problem. I printed a USPS label through eBay this morning that had "HAZMAT - Surface Transportation Only". Have no idea why - vintage greeting cards in a bubble envelope. It is being mailed to an eBay international hub for final destination in Canada.

·1 year agoThis happened with my labels this morning as well.
The Hazmat warning was also on the USPS Priority shipment which is def. a no go as you pay extra for quick shipment. The Hazmat label will make the packages ship very slowly.
I have cancelled all of the shipments and labels until the issue is resolved.

·1 year agoSo, one Ebay CS rep said mail them & the other said absolutely don't mail them. Consistency is key.
I guess both agree that it's not Ebay's fault.
One out of two ain't bad.
Creative way for USPS to relieve the flow of the seasonal package inundation?
Who knows.
