Having problems with Doral FL forwarders?
I just had my second package sent to a forwarder in Doral Florida disappear from USPS tracking. This is an old topic in the community and I just wanted to wake the discussion up again and see what other people may have had similar recent experiences.
First, I have shipped to several forwarders in other places and not had this problem. Everything else seems to get delivery scans and eventually get forwarded... or so I assume from the lack of negative feedback or complaints. It's only when I ship to Doral that this problem seems to occur. The item hits the Miami FL Distribution Center and then "disappears." There is no departure scan from Miami and no delivery scan. As a result the buyer can freely claim they didn't receive the item and demand a refund. To be fair I don't know if they are scamming me or not but it is annoying.
These are low price items being shipped first class... not worth insuring. I've filed missing mail complaints on the USPS website and got confirmation of the complaint but I can't help wondering when USPS will detect a pattern in the Miami-Doral connection. These complaints get monthly "we are sorry but your item has not been located" updates but USPS has no reason to actually do anything since there is no insurance they have to pay.
It's easy to tell from the address when it is a forwarder in Doral and I know what I am going to do if another purchase comes through. In the meantime I'd like to post this as a caution to other sellers and a search for similar experiences.

·3 years agoI had the exact thing happen to me in December. My package made it to the distribution center in Miami and that was the end of it. USPS investigation said it was "mishandled and irretrievably lost" and because it was first class mail, I was out the money.
