Ground Advantage supplies

Does anyone know if/when Ground Advantage supplies will be available in the post office -or- online?
I see someone selling GA padded envelopes on ebay which I thought was a no-no.
Which made me wonder, are these pre-paid?
Who would by a GA padded envelope on ebay if you still had to pay the postage?
Why not just buy a regular padded envelope?

·4 months ago@kalyoth You have to give USPS your closet name when you place you order. They do not check to see if you have anything listed. It is only used to verify if you have an account with PM.
Edit to add that the supplies belong to USPS, so PM cannot tell you with any authority how to use them. I sell on PM too, but I also use plenty of these materials for my eBay orders. USPS doesnt' care as long as you are using them for Ground Advantage.
Those materials should not be sold online. Is USPS going to go after them? Probably not.
@inhawaii Some USPS offices do have them and will give them to the general public. Are they supposed to do that? No. My postmaster asked me if I'd bring them some of each kind I have so they could give them to the poor people and seniors who come in so they don't have to buy the expensive ReadyPost supplies. I took them 50 of each that I have. I can always get more.
I do know, at least as of Q1 2025, USPS wanted to shift away from Priority Mail and focus on delivering via ground. As a part of that, they wanted to shift away from providing free Priority Mail supplies and offer free Ground Advantage materials. That was told to me by a USPS regional executive. I was conducting my next to last USPS audit and he was present at the facility I was auditing. I still have contacts in USPS, but I have not heard this come up outside of my local postmater asking for some from me and what other Poshmark sellers have told me about their local USPS offices giving them out to the general public.

·4 months agoThey are not exclusive to Posh, some other large companies with negotiated service contracts have access to them as well. They are not available to the general public, except through Posh, at least not yet. You can use them for eBay orders if you use GA, it is legal in the eyes of the post office (Posh says they don't like people doing it though, if you get them through Posh.)
Paying money for them is ridiculous. And they can't be sold, by Federal law, as it says on the boxes. They always remain the property of the USPS, legally.

WOW!

·4 months agoI am curious - can you open an account & just order the "free" supplies there? Also, does USPS penalize you if the label doesn't state Poshmark upon it? The supplies they offer are nothing extravagant:

·4 months agoOh my gosh!
I can't believe those who go in my post office...
Because the clerks are busy...sometimes a line...people just walk up to these supplies that are for sale and just take them...padded envelopes and anything hanging on the rack.
Here's something I do see...clerk does stamp the back of envelope if it was paid and used presently or for the future.
Not sure what good that does when someone doesn't use a clerk to pay for item and ship envelop on their own.

·4 months agoI have not heard of any plans for GA supplies, except for the deal USPS has made with Poshmark. These are only available to Poshmark sellers and they are not prepaid, they're just free shipping supplies. Kind of like the ebay branded ones you can buy except from USPS. There are also GA cardboard boxes for Poshmark sellers as well.
I don't see the advantage of buying these either, as the whole point was that you get them for free. You still need to pay for postage, just like with the USPS Priority Mail padded mailers.

·4 months agoThose are Poshmark supplies. Sellers can order them through the USPS and have to provide their Posh closet name.
