ground advantage cubic
I have been able to get Ground Advantage Cubic shipping prices on Pirate ship for big heavy items and saved the buyer a lot of money. Do they offer that option on Ebay? The shipping quotes Ebay puts on these listings are so inflated and very off putting.

·5 months agoYep, Cubic pricing is automatically calculated on Ebay and the lower of cubic and commercial charged.
This is the reason the postage discount shown varies greatly between packages.

·5 months ago@greenhavenparadise For the most part, shipping rates are the same on both platforms. I have sometimes found UPS rates to be somewhat cheaper, but hardly worth the trouble of a) transfering the order over and b) the extra time it takes to drop off a UPS order, where I often have to wait in line.

·5 months agoeBay added cubic GA and Priority a few years ago.
When you buy shipping on eBay, they don't explicitly say if it is the cubic rate or not, just if it is GA or Priority. After you buy the label, it will say Cubic rate on the shipping label itself if it was bought at the Cubic rate.

Just add the dimensions of the package when you do the shipping label, and you can also add those ahead of time when you create the listing.
eBay automatically gives you the lowest possible, cubic or weight, rate for the shipper you selected.
I believe you can't finish buying the label until you put in dimensions if the package weighs over 15 ounces.
I'm not sure if you can add that to shipping policies.
