Global Shopping Tracking….Sigh
Does anyone else find the global shipping frustratingly slow?
It’s particularly bad having items delivered from the US. Ok, i get it, the US is a big place and it may take a few steps before it finally leaves the country, but the tracking is painful.
I’m almost at 2 weeks waiting for a parcel, I’ve not had a tracking update for 5 days. Apparently its left the US….ok, so where on its journey is it now? Who knows.
Even when is was being shopped to various shipping hubs in the US, you’d have a flurry of tracking activity them nothing for days.
i don’t mind waiting, I’d just like to know where my stuff is on a fairly regular basis.

·2 years agomany sellers who offer only EIS will not offer any other service.
Some of those sellers will add you to their blocked buyer list if you ask them to use another service. If they wanted to offer other services they would.
Some of the sellers who attempt to accommodate you will be inexperienced in other carriers and in customs regulations and paperwork. You are inviting trouble.
EIS exists to encourage sellers to export who would otherwise limit their sales to the US.

·2 years agoNext time before you buy, you may ask the seller if they can use other services. I don't use ebay, and I sell a lot abroad. Average delivery time to UK is about 8 calendar days, with transparent tracking at every step including delivery confirmation. As an example:

If not for programs like EIS sellers would NEVER offer their items to a global market.

·2 years agoIf the shipment is using Ebay International Shipping, you need to learn not to babysit your purchases. Once the package reaches the shipping hub the scans are erratic and the estimated delivery date takes into account those long periods between scans.
Yes, it is frustrating, but if you do not have faith in the system and the delivery estimate, you are creating your own problem,
