global shipping protection
is there insurance for Global Shipping? I just had Canada Post lose an $700 item. This was shipped through Ebay Global shipping. How can we protect our shipments going through Ebay Global shipping?
Thank You,
Marty

·3 years agoTo be protected for lost items sold with GSP, you need to have have tracking showing delivered to the GSP Center. After that GSP is responsible for delivery to the buyer.

·3 years agoAS @marnotom! mentioned, the buyer needs to open an item not received claim. If the package was lost after if reached the gsp center, then they will refund the buyer.
Does tracking show that Canada Post had the package? When was it supposed to be delivered and when did the tracking stop?

·3 years agoJust to add to @pjcdn2005's excellent post, one of the big reasons you shouldn't be refunding the buyer yourself is that you won't be able to give a refund on the import charges the buyer paid and the GSP's share of the shipping fee they also paid.

·3 years agoThere shouldn't be any need for eBay to reimburse the seller for this if the buyer files a claim through the MBG.

·3 years agoYes ebay will reimburse you. Just call them and tell them or open a chat on the facebook page with them.
I once had a $1500 item lost going to Italy. Ebay refunded the buyer and I got to keep the money.
its an awesome GSP perk
