GLENDALE HEIGHTS, IL 60139, two shipping lost in a few days! Have I been tracked down?
Hello there, I am here to find if there is any way to fill a complain about GLENDALE HEIGHTS, IL 60139 international shipping center, as two shippings from the U.S. to Italy, both from the same seller in a few days, has been "lost".
Last tracking of them was on 27th April (shipping date 25th April) and on 5th May (shipping date 1st May).
Never had a shipping code.
Of course eBay will refund me, but as a collector I am very **bleep** off, as these were multiple auctions I bid where here is nighttime; moreover, I think somebody there have tracked my shippings.....
Is there any way to fill a formal complain?
Thank you very much in advance.

·4 months agoThere is so much confusion in this thread.
@templeof In your OP you said it was two shipments, are you now saying it is three?
@ebooksdiva Where are you seeing anything about estimated delivery dates? I don't see any shown in the screenshots and the OP has not mentioned anything about the estimated delivery dates. Without knowing those dates there is no way to know whether the OP has missed their chance to file an INR with eBay. Perhaps the OP will come back here and share what the last estimated delivery date of each package is.

OP4 months agoConfusion? There were two and now there are three. in the same situation. Same seller, in a few weeks, while other shippings from other sellers and (before) from that same guy were successful!
For the records, delivery date has already expired for the first one, and expires tomorrow for the second. But, seriously, and this is not only for you, how do you ever think an international package can reach its destination without any trace of it?
It looks like nobody here know how it works.
Again for the @tobaccocardyahooI'd really like to avoid international shipping program, but sellers always prefer it and, I have to say again, no problems ever from the US part of the process ... until now.
Anyway, I was only here to know if there was a way to fill a formal complain to ebay about this situation, and nobody gave me a useful advice so far.
In the meanwhile, I have received via ebay Instagram at least a hopeful answer that maybe somebody will put a note somewhere, to someone in charge, about this situation.
It affects their reputation and money as well!
Best regards.

·4 months agoI repeat my belief that many or most US sellers, even those who handle exports outside of EIS to other countries, will not ship to Italy. The Italian Post Office has been notorious for many years.
Sellers like EIS because it is lower risk and lower effort than dealing with the bureaucracies in scores of countries, and their customs policies.
Many of us gave up exporting as not worth the effort and only returned to export when Ebay Global Shipping and EIS were created. No business is better than bad business, and far too many export sales are bad business.

·4 months agoI think all of those orders may be either within the window to open an item not received claim, or not yet eligible for the claim.
I see no evidence that they are lost and suspect they are not lost but being processed in a manner consistent with the delivery estimate.
I stand by my advice to avoid babysitting EIS shipments.

OP4 months agoLet's be more specific, in response to @tobaccocardyahoo.
Here attached (I hope it works now) the trackings of the three shipments I mentioned. As you can see, they all stop at GLENDALE HEIGHTS, without receiving a shipping code, and of course never arrived to my address.
I know that facility has a bad reputation, but so far I have never had problems, even for the aforementioned seller. I have received 6 different shippings from him during the past months, but now there is something suspicious happening there (three in a row, same seller, same buyer? Come on!)
Of course, I have already contacted ebay Italy, highlighting the problem, but they are only able to provide refunds, in case.
I am trying to fill a formal complaint to eBay, in order to put the right attention to this problem.
So, if any of you can give further hints of how to manage this situation, he'll be welcomed.
Thank you in advance Best regards.

·4 months agoDid you open item not received cases on those items? You had 30 days from the last estimated date of delivery to open a case. Unfortunately you let too much time pass for that. You can file a chargeback through your bank or credit card.
eBay is responsible for refunds after delivery to the Glendale Heights hub when items go missing. Chances are those items are restricted for whatever reason and could not be shipped to you.

·4 months agoThe Glendale Heights , IL. USPS ISC sorting hub has unexplained delay's and missing packages for last 6 years . I had to bring in both the USPS District management and finely The postal inspectors involved on package I had that went through the sorting center after a Unexplained missed placement of my package that took them 3 months to find ,which they did a long with 32 other packages . Here in Ca. in Orange county the USPS has a very large sorting hub that has had it's issues of unexplained delays,Missed placed packages and some gone lost ,it was called the Bermuda Triangle by the shippers .

·4 months agoThe Glendale Heights facility actually belongs to Ebay - it is not a USPS building. The USPS International Service Center is at O'Hare Airport. The problem is in the huge delays seen when Ebay International Shipping packages arrive at Glendale Heights and then take forever to get transferred over to O'Hare and loaded up by DHL or whoever is flying the packages to the specified country.

·4 months agoYour description of the tracking for your purchases in inadequate.
A copy of the shipment tracking (or a screenshot) might clarify a great deal.
If the shipment did not reach the EIS hub, the seller is responsible and @kensgiftshop has provided good info.
If the shipment reached the EIS hub, you may be dealing with a misinterpretation of the tracking. Several days without an update are not uncommon. It appears that to some countries, EIS freight consolidates and inaction until there is adequate volume to the destination country is commonplace. This reduces the cost of shipping although it delays delivery.
Were there not the availability of EIS many US sellers would never ship to Italy. I avoided doing so for over 50 years in a variety of businesses.

·4 months agoOh, heck, yeah. I ship eIS through Glendale Heights routinely (as does my mentee seller, who sells vintage LPs to all over), and while there are clear benefits to doing so in terms of seller protection, it's also true that they are positively glacial in terms of handling time. I have seen 7 days or more go by after delivery to Glendale Heights before the package shows any movement via the international carrier (or even getting to the airport).
Whether they are moving slowly or simply overwhelmed is unclear. At least we have never actually lost a shipment through there.

·4 months agoA day after the estimated delivery date Ebay gave you, open an Item Not Received case.
Go to your purchase history and click I didn't get it in the menu next to the item.
The seller will have 3 days to provide a tracking number showing it was delivered or refund.
If they don't, return to the case on day 4 and ask Ebay to step in.
