Frosted Zipper Clothing Bags
I am curious about the zipper bags for soft items. Since it can be easily opened, I worry that my item won't arrive safely since it isn't secure and everyone has an idea of the contents. If items are in a box or a polybag it isn't as obvious. I purchased some zipper bags and now I think I wasted my coupon on something I won't use. I could use other people's opinion on the bags. Thanks

·1 year agoDon't ship anything in packaging that can reveal the contents, not only might it put the item as risk for theft, but far more importantly the packaging should be fully opaque to protect the buyer's privacy.
Amazon has started using clear bags to ship items, and some buyers have said they are not happy about having their items visible for others to see.

·1 year agoThe biggest risk is they could be snagged and torn allowing items to get dirty or lost. You need to use real padded mailing envelopes. Still a box offers more protection.

·1 year agoI use zip bags for small loose items, then put them in a polymailer. If you can't see through them you could always rip the zipper off and seal it with shipping tape...though might worry about the strength of the bag.

·1 year agoThey're not mailers; they're for sealing the item inside the package to keep out moisture, critters, smells, etc. I always seal up my items in ZipLok bags the same way, with the packing slip. That way, if the package gets wet or damaged on the outside there will still be a legible address inside, and if it lands in water it will float. 🙂

·1 year agoI don't believe those are meant to be used as shipping bags. Rather for storage and moisture protection inside the actual packaging. The few clothes I have I put in regular ziplocks and ship in manila envelopes, same idea.

·1 year agoThe seller of those should add something about their intended use in the description. I recently saw a post where something got a complaint from a buyer about shipping in one of those.

·1 year agoThat was my pov as well. They're for 'storing' not for shipping (unless inside another box or mailer.
