First Class Envelope Shipping
For selling an inexpensive item such as postcard or a ring, could I use a small padded envelope, send the item first class and pay the shipping myself? Is that allowed? It would be a lot less expensive.

·3 years agoA padded envelope probably would be too thick for first class large envelope.

OP3 years agoYes, but a mylar envelope wouldn't be and even with bubble wrap inside it is practically weightless.

·3 years agoIf you are putting bubble wrap inside it it's going to become to thick. Being weightless won't matter if it's too thick. I generally use bubble wrap to make small things thick enough to mail first class package. Of course all this will change next month too.

·3 years agoYes, you can do that, but without tracking you lose and not received dispute. For the postcards you can use the low cost ebay Standard Envelope.

OP3 years agoIf it is a cheap item, I wouldn't worry too much about refunding somebody who complained.

OP3 years agoHow do I choose the EBay Standard Envelope? I haven't seen it as an option.

·3 years agoFollow the instructions in the link I posted. You also must use a specific type of envelopes to qualify.
