Follow up to my post last night about calling Customer Service. I received my refund this morning, less than 12 hours after calling. I recommend everyone experiencing issues of the overcharging by FedEx to call eBay customer service.
IT is fedex to forget discount or eBay does not read dicount. there is cost break down. The rate discount entry is missing on incorrect bill. there is always rate discount entry in correct one.
If we look at adjustment they all say how many OZ it had on label and Billable weight in pounds
It look like there system does not understand 16oz equal to 1 pound .
Guess FedEx hired a bad accountant .

Upon checking here, I was able to confirm that there is an active technical issue right now regarding sellers being charged FedEx underpaid shipping charges even though the items were measured accurately. There are other members who had experience the same scenario, however nothing to worry our technical team is doing their very best to fix the issue as soon as possible. Here's what I will be doing, I will include your name here on our list for our technical team to prioritize fixing your account.
We apologize for the inconvenience and this will be refunded and corrected within the next 5 business days.
Its been happening to me since December. If I was a conspiracy guy it sure would be a great way to skim a little extra off the top doing this here and there to a bunch of people. It was happening to me once or so a week. Now its every single item I shipped on a particular day. Its like a skimming program is acting up and doing it to every transaction instead of one here or there. Before it was always $1-$6, now its almost 80% of the original shipping charge. $15-$40+ per. Again, not a conspiracy guy but you never know. Seems really odd.
Ebay, where are my other 13 refunds for "upcharges" from December until two weeks ago for items for the exact same reason?
Just chatted with eBay and yes it's happening again and they assured me that it will be refunded as I too had 5 label adjustments this morning. I think for now I will just use my own FedEx account instead of eBay until they get this straightened out. They called it a bug!
It appears maybe we received the emails but were not actually charged? I went to my payments and do not see the amounts deducted. Can anyone confirm they see the same thing?
I had three noted in the email, but they only deducted one of them from my payments so far. Last week it took several hours but they eventually deducted all of them so I'm expecting that to happen again today.
I understand it may have been a surprise to eBay last week, but there's no excuse for this to happen again when apparently the problem has still not been resolved with FedEx. eBay should have been prepared to NOT deduct those erroneous charges from our accounts. This one's on eBay!
I have also not received my credits from the last snafu. Today, eBay posted a note on our Summary saying they would make adjustments within the next five days....keep checking your account and if you don't see the credits, contact eBay. In the mean time, I spent my morning removing FedEx from my listings. Once was bad enough but now that it has happened again, I am done with FedEx.
I still have 3 of the 7 from last week still not credited to me...now 2 more. I am done using FedEx until Ebay can assure us this won't happen again.....and I hate using UPS.

Same here. Last week was resolved after ebay issued statement. As of yet I have not seen a statement. I realize the problem probably resides with Fedex but we contract with Ebay and are invisible to Fedex. This should have been put to rest last week.

I got another one too this morning...with 7 adjustments similar to the other one....I can't believe it was done again...I did speak with ebay and they are aware this morning it happened again, they were not able to explain why this is happening but they indicate it is fedex doing this not ebay...a spot check of my 'overages' is a 5 lb item that magically went to 25 lbs as billable weight which is again impossible. We are going to stop having to use Fedex at this time even though it may be a few bucks cheaper sometimes than the competition...who needs this two weeks in a row?
Yes...yet again. And, just for a comparison between what FedEx is saying and actual shipping charges for the SAME package size and weight, I ended up sending a replacement package via FedEx when UPS had delivered a package to Wisconsin and all four plates were damaged. The charge for the first UPS package was $14.96. When I sent the replacement package, FedEx charges via the eBay shipping labels was supposed to be $13.13.....today, I got a message that FedEx charged an additional $11.45 for a 12x12x6 package which is considered a standard size, AND same ship weight as the UPS package, for a WHOPPING TOTAL OF $24.58! Uh, NOPE..... I am going to spend my morning removing FedEx from my listings instead of listing items for sale. This should not have happened once, much less, TWICE.
And - eBay HAS charged my account for the amounts as of this morning. This is so infuriating.
Just got hit with 5 "underpaid" labels, all of which show that the weights I put it are all over what FedEx said they weighed, and I know the dimensions are correct. Now waiting for ebay to open customer service to speak with them about this. What have you done in the past about it?

·2 years agoMe too. Just got hit with $27 for a box that both weighed and measured less than I input. Thought eBay had fixed this!
