FedEx Shippers Beware!
For those of you who are tempted to use FedEx Ground Economy in order to save on shipping, I recommend NOT using this service through eBay shipping, especially for parcels weighing 15oz.
After getting hit for several parcels that were adjusted from 15oz to 2-lbs, I re-calibrated my digital shipping scale, and then re-weighed the same items still in my inventory. All were between 14.8oz-15.2oz.
But it wasnt until I tried to find a way to appeal the adjustments that I realized that there is really no way of doing so, as FedEx, USPS and eBay defer to each other. I can only imagine that their contract was written in such a way to protect each other during blatant money grabs. What a shame.
