Estimated Delivery Dates Become Absurd..!
Hi everybody,
Im writing this note in case that someone else facing the same issue.
Im living in Greece and when i woke up this morning i found 2 orders from US customers that placed yesterday evening (May 8th). When i check order details i noticed this:
"Estimated delivery date shown to buyer: May 20, 2025 - May 28, 2025".
The problem is that the buyer has chosen "Economy Shipping from outside US" which is, according to Ebay, "11-23 business days"!!!
As you understand it doesn't make any sense: May 8th plus 23 calendar (not business) days = May 31st!
I made a contact with customers support but unfortunately for me the guy on the other side seemed unable to understand my problem...
I can't tell if this is some kind of bug but i can ensure you that everything went smooth until May 7th (last order before these 2).
One last thing: Regardless of country (from New Zealand to Germany or to Taiwan) the estimated delivery date shown to buyer is exactly the same!!!

An item sold earlier today (May 15th) and i noticed that estimated delivery date get back to normal. 🙂

·1 year agoWithin the US, I try to help cover this discreptance by listing a 2 day handling time, but I get the item in the mail in one day. It helps.

·1 year agoUnfortunately we are having the same problem in Australia. I only sell within Australia, and ebay have shortened my estimated delivery date by several days, and like you, everything was fine for me (and others) before 7th May. I reported it on Friday and am waiting to hear back from customer service whether it's a glitch or here to stay. I am so stressed about it as there is no way I can deliver by the last estimate date ebay are now giving. I would suggest you contact customer service again and report it. Hopefully, it's just a glitch.

·1 year agoI can three times and finally someone (Shay - Customer Service) listened and see the error that eBay is making. I hope it doesn’t stay as it is ridiculous time frame for delivery like with untracked envelope post for most of my item. It is now classified as express post delivery time frame instead.
so disappointing with eBay and I already have a case and 3 complains about late delivery from order made just last Thursday!!! Oh god

The solution is to not offer certain carrier options if they will not deliver on time.
The seller is responsible for on time delivery. Do not offer options that will fail.
The seller owns that on every transaction.

OP1 year agoImo, the solution is to fix Ebay this problem in order to return to previous status, as it was all these years.
I repeat:
"Economy Shipping from outside US" > "11-23 business days" so the currect setting it doesn't make any sense.
