EIS Shipping Invoice has USA destination on it and International Shipping on it
In rough numbers: $7 to IL Ground advantage and $35 on the invoice.
I believe that $35 is the my domestic $7 + eBays EIS shipping.
However, the invoice states a domestic address and no mention of the international address.
For 1099K purposes, a number of people in the ebay community have said, the eBay handles the international shipping and the shipping cost for that does not add to my 1099K. However, the Invoice indicates the opposite.
I believe the invoice is required for EIS but that should be problematic for customs since it says the Total Shipping was to Illinois - so what is the international shipping? If there is VAT on shipping and I was a customs official, I'd demand to know the international shipping charge.
I suspect it is what it is: print and include the invoice.
But now I question if I'm going to international shipping charges added to my 1099k.

The 1099-K is a summary of the payments "processed on your behalf" which would NOT include anything after delivery to the "hub".
If you play golf, you always get tips to try and make you more proficient at the golf swing. Here's the "swing thought" for any International Shipment if you utilize ebay international service.
If you sell an item through EiS, it is just like ebay BOUGHT the item. They are your customer. They are the buyer. They now own your item. Any resulting charges AFTER they receive are their responsibility. They ger the international shipping 'deduction' expense. They get any logical expenses to "repackage" or forward their item to the final destination.

·1 year agoYou will not see the international shipping charges on your 1099K.
You may see the VAT included on the 1099K and in the tax total which you can deduct as an expense on your tax return. Depends on whether the buyer chooses to pay the VAT to Ebay or to local customs.
If the buyer pays the VAT to Ebay it will be reflected in your FVF.
There is no reason for you to need to use the invoice when you do your taxes. Ebay provides reports which contain all of the data you need.

·1 year agoWow! lots of confusion for you.
EIS works like this; customer pays whatever US shipping portion that you state.
The 1099 will ONLY include 2 items
a.) item price the buyer paid
b.) US shipping portion that buyer paid if, and ONLY if, you 'charge' a shipping cost for Domestic (vs. Free Shipping)
All the rest is NONE of your concern. The 'international portion' of the shipping cost, any VAT the buyer paid etc. is NONE of you business or concern.
