EIS how do I select the correct shipping?
I just sold an item to someone who lives in Canada and I'm enrolled in the EIS program. Does ebay automatically send an invoice? If I send it, I have to pick a shipping method and I have no idea which one to choose. If I print the label from USPS.com and use Priority International, the cost is around $50. Can someone please help me with understanding the EIS program? I've read every article but I have not found an answer. I'd appreciate any advice!

·4 months agoAll your sold and current listings, show you only ship to USA. I would "cancel this order" and enroll in EIS International Shipping and then ask customer to "re-purchase this item".
It appears you are NOT enrolled in EIS international shipping. Go enroll go to SITE PREFERENCES, SHIPPING PREFERENCES, EBAY INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING (click on OPT IN).
When you use EBAY EIS shipping if item "gets lost or damaged" in the mail (EBAY pays the customer and not YOU). Normally, EBAY holds the Seller responsible for "damaged or lost" shipments.

OP4 months agoThanks again! He hasn't paid yet, so I would charge him the domestic shipping fee? He is asking me to send an invoice with shipping on it. I thought ebay sent an invoice. I'm concerned because the only address showing is the one in Canada. I doubled-checked and on the listing, the ebay international shipping only is the choice that is selected.

·4 months agoYes; explain to him that items are sent via EIS (Ebay International Shipping) where I, the seller, ship it to a USA Hub and ebay then reships it to him so no invoice is sent. Buyer simply pays what they are shown.

OP4 months agoThanks to everyone! I finally got an ebay agent on the phone and he said that even though I was enrolled, this item was not eligible for EIS. (even though it was automatically selected when I made my listing) I guess that explains why the invoice is as it is.

·4 months ago@lukexan26 Actually the item you sold is NOT EIS. Only 1 item out of 5 (2 sold, 3 remaining) is set for EIS. 4 out of 5 are USA only.

·4 months agoIf this is for the Lynda Carter listing, it does NOT offer EIS and because you don't have an amount for direct shipping the buyer can't pay.
If you want to ship directly to Canada yourself you can send the buyer an invoice with a specified shipping service/amount to Canada. If you want to ship this via EIS you would have to cancel the order, relist is after fixing the shipping so EIS applies and have the buyer purchase again.
There is always a possibility that EIS has blocked this particular item and EIS isn't available for this listing, that would mean direct shipping is your only option.

·4 months agoWith EIS you are shipping to a domestic hub, so you will be using a domestic shipping method. They repackage and reship internationally. If you're using USPS, Ground Advantage works fine.

OP4 months agoThank you for the reply! When I attempt to send an invoice, there is no domestic address. It has his address in Canada. If I print it, will it print the domestic hub address?

·4 months agoIf you used the EIS program, the ship-to address would be the hub in Glendale, IL.
If your order is showing a different ship-to address, then you used international shipping where you ship it yourself, not the EIS program.

You simply 'print the label shipping it as shown'.
EIS takes it from there.

·4 months agoWhile there is no stated shipping charge to Canada the OP does not block any countries other than the usual ones eBay auto blocks.
In this type of situation a Canadian or any International buyer can purchase but they can't pay.
