Ebay still allowing purchasers to select media mail
I am losing money on my recent sales because ebay is allowing purchasers to select media mail even though I cannot select it when shipping. Is there any remedy to this?

·2 years agoQuit offering Media Mail for items that don't qualify for it.

·2 years agoAs the others have noted, they can't select it if you don't offer it. eBay is trying to reduce Media Mail abuse by blocking sellers from purchasing postage in categories where most items are not eligible, such as magazines; and meanwhile they are also, very slowly, removing the option to even offer MM in those categories.
But still as you have seen there are plenty of situations where a seller can still offer MM in a category where eBay blocks the purchase of a MM label.

Change your listings to Ground Advantage. Then your buyers can't select Media Mail. Good luck.

·2 years agoThey are allowing purchasers to select media mail because that is what you offered on your listings. But magazines aren't eligible for media mail so you are not allowed to print a label for it. I don't know why ebay allows magazine sellers to select media mail when listing but now that you know how it works, you shouldn't have the same problem again.
