Ebay Shipping is Broken
I rarely use Ebay and here's why. I bought an item in Portland, Or. I live 12 hours north (driving) in the central interior of British Columbia Canada. It doesn't take a genius to understand that shipping the item to Chicago, then to Mississauga Ontario, then all the way back across the country to my home, is the slowest possible route for the item to take. Almost a month to receive an item 12 hours away.
Consider this: If I was simply shipping an item to another person 12 hours south of me, without the involvement of Ebay, and I paid a courier to delivery this item and they decided to send the item in the same fashion Ebay does, and take the same amount of time, would I ever use that service again? Absolutely not.
I buy international often, and, without exception, Ebay is the most bankrupt broken down system for getting something from point to point. Fix your mess. Make an attempt to meet the very reasonable expectations of your consumer.

·2 years agoMy seller shipped my item out FedEx from New Jersey on Monday and received it Wednesday before noon...
Just general shipping....this was last week. And I always buy from this buyer only because of that. I live in San Francisco.
I also have lots shipped from Macao and they only take 2 weeks per Macao shipping. Another seller I always buy from.

·2 years agoEbay does NOT ship 1 thing.
Items going from the US to 'other countries' have to go through 'routes' and then through 'customs', which can be done in 3 days or 3 weeks.
Items being shipped BY US sellers using the EIS system is MUCH BETTER than a seller in the US not shipping to you at all- so; EIS is in LA Cali and Illinois, with more soon to be added. Prior to this 'system' MANY/MOST sellers wouldn't even ship to Canada.
Either way, It's the 'shipping system' and NOT ebay.

·2 years agoIf the seller wasn’t utilizing eIS then I suppose depending on the shipping service used an item will take a month also what comes into play is the sellers handling time. But I can tell you from experience if the seller you bought from used eIS it wouldn’t have taken that long for delivery. I had a buyer from Canada last month purchase on Nov 2 and received the item on Nov 15 th. My handling time is 3 days but I usually have items shipped out the same or next business day. I’m in South Louisiana.

·2 years agoThe Big A may have their own carriers and drivers, ebay does not. Your seller uses one of the usual shipping companies. They are the ones who control the rates, routes and timeframes. Do you seriously think ebay is the carrier?
