Ebay Motors Secure Purchase
I am selling a vehicle, buyer has opted to use the secure purchase program where Caramel acts as a middle man, and handles the payment, title, license/registration, and shipping. The buyer is saying that he may want to use his own shipping due to high cost. Is this allowed? In my mind this defeats the "secure purchase" as now the shipping of the vehicle is outside of the network. I do not receive payment until the vehicle is delivered, which makes me more weary of using a shipper not directly contracted through Ebay motors. Any advice, or am I being overly cautious?

·4 months agoIt is allowed, but I'm not releasing any car to anyone without the money in hand first. Once you have the money and sign over the title, they can do what they want with the car. Not sure how Caramel works if they are like an escrow company or not, but I wouldn't care if they were. The money goes to me before the car ever leaves
