EBAY INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING SERVICE IS A SCAM
Ebay international shipping service is a total scam and let me explain why
when a seller posts a product and places a shipping price , that price is supposed to be quite accurate
to cover the costs of shipping the item, but lately what your seeing is when you search for a product ,
in the result list you see a product price + a shipping price. BUT.....
when you enter the product page you suddenly see that the shipping price is now exorbitantly 3 times what it was initially , but WHY?
This is Ebay international shipping service.......
Ebay provides a courier pickup so that the seller never really has to do anything but package the item.
but wait so why pay the seller the shipping fees????
This is the scam , Ebay basically charges you an obscene amount of money to ship the item to you while also giving the seller the shipping fee that he charged you initially. both the seller and Ebay win!!!!
Ebay's response when i presented the situation to them was that i can always ask the seller to relist the item and use an alternate shipping option , basically transferring the responsibility to the seller, but why in the sam hill would the seller go through all that work of happing to arrange shipping , relist the item and lose out on the shipping fee for the buyer????
LADIES AND GENTLEMAN , NOW YOU KNOW THAT EBAY HAS OFFICIALLY LOST ITS MIND.
I AM STATING NOW , ANY SELLER USING EBAY INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING HAS LOST ME AS A BUYER.
I high recommend you do the same otherwise we paved the way for legitimate scamming

·3 years agoSo what is overall cheapest for the buyer? Ebay International standard or the new Ebay International Shipping program (including everything the buyer has to pay like VAT etc)?

·3 years agoI’m in Canada and when I look at the search page the shipping is identical to the amount I see when I go to the product page. Are you signed in when you search? Perhaps you are seeing the shipping cost for US buyers at first.

·3 years agoUnless you are searching as a USA resident and THEN CHANGING it to an international country, would the 'price change'
Otherwise, a Buyer in Norway would be seeing the Price to Ship the Item to Them, in Norway.

·3 years agoThe seller ONLY gets the shipping fee to send the item to the hub. Everything else is the shipping fee to send to your home and any taxes or duties or Vat. The sellers in these programs never know any of these foreign shipping fees and duties because they are different for each country.
If you do NOT like the fees that you see, then buy stuff only in your country. Don't blame the sellers for these fees. Also postal fees just went up last week so if you see an increase, that is why.

·3 years agoI don’t think you understand the program. Sellers do not get the import fees, which is what you are seeing. We do not get a courier sent to our house, we ship it to the hub.
