eBay ESUS Shipping - No Delivery
I’m in the card collecting hobby and have purchased about 15-20 cards over the past few weeks. Every single one that has a ESUS tracking number was updated with the same “delivery time†today. When I got home from work, nothing. I actually ran into the USPS worker while checking my mail some 6 hrs after I got the delivery update and she confirmed nothing was here for me. Curious if other people are having this issue, and how it could be possible every card (all sent from different locations) could have been updated at once.

·9 months agoeBay Standard Envelope (ESE) is a metered letter mail shipment with USPS so it does not receive traditional tracking scans like a package would, and the clerk at the PO counter cannot scan it or track it. The envelope is scanned by sorting machinery at distribution centers along the way.
With ESE, a 'delivered' scan generally occurs when the envelope arrives at the last USPS facility before it gets to the buyer; sometimes the buyer will receive their order a few days after the delivered scan.
If the item was just scanned as delivered, I suggest waiting a couple more days for the envelope to turn up.
You can sign up for USPS Informed Delivery. You get an email every morning with images of letter mail you'll be receiving that day (ESE should be pictured with the letter mail), and the email will also show a list of package tracking numbers arriving that day.

When an item is pictured on your informed delivery email, but that item isn't delivered, you can log in to your account at usps.com and report that you didn't receive it. That alerts the PO and they will alert your carrier that a mail piece was missing from your delivery.

·9 months agoeBay Standard Envelope shipping is scanned only when it passes through a sorting machine. This means that, if the closest sorting center is particularly backed up, the final delivery scan can occur a day or even two before it gets to your carrier's truck.
I would expect you see the majority of them in that time frame. Out of a few thousand sent I've only ever had 2 scanned as delivered that didn't show up.
