Ebay Delivery dates shown to Buyers on listing "Delivery 1-2 Days" is false narrative to Buyers
Started seeing Ebay Delivery dates shown to Buyers on our listing "Delivery 1-2 Days" and "Delivery 2-3 Days". This has just shown up in the past week or so and appears Ebay is inserting this. This is a false narrative as it gives the Buyer the assumption, they will receive their purchased items from the time they purchase it in "1-2 days". Sort of like you are purchasing from Amazon with their quick delivery dates. We did a random check on other Sellers and some Sellers have the same quick delivery being shown to Buyers. We advise Ebay Sellers to check their listings. We are afraid that we and other Sellers will get "Negative Reviews" from buyers who are expecting quick deliveries.

I am the seller
Order placed on Thursday April 3rd at 6:41 PM after the close of business for USPS Priority Mail pickup or drop off. Order is going from NY to Tennessee; 2 to 3 days by USPS Priority, but I've never had one get from me to the southeast in less than 3 days; 4 days is just as common as 3 days.
My stated handling time is 4 business days (Saturday, Sunday don't count)
My 'Manage Orders' page tells me to ship the order by April 9th (that is correct; April 3rd plus 4 business days handling). I have never shipped an item in less than 2 business days handling.
Even with my best handling time performance of 2 days, the soonest I would ship the item is April 7th, plus the best USPS Priority of 2 days would be best delivery date of April 9th.
The ebay "Estimated Delivery Date shown to buyer is where the entire ebay system goes off the rails.
For this order is shows estimated delivery: April 7th to April 12th." No matter how you look at it, a delivery of April 7th is impossible.
Second issue is if ebay is looking at the sellers actual handling time performance they should also look at USPS actual shipping performance. I have never ever had a package go from NY to the southeast in less than 3 days. The 2 days is a myth.

·1 year agoThe delivery estimate depends on the buyer's location. When you look at your own listing, you see the delivery estimate for a buyer in your own ZIP Code.

·1 year agoTry changing the zip code from something other than yours for delivery to see if the 1-2 day changes
ETA:
eBay shows YOU the time to YOU
other locations should show more time
If you click on "see details" you can enter another Zip. Just rember to change it back.
