eBay allowing buyers to post negative feedback when usps loses items
received negative feedback for items lost.by usps I refunded the buyer, communicated with them before they contacted me to leet them know the weather was causing shipping delays. eBay is awful to sellers. buyers were so nasty. I was threatened by one buyer an tried to report it to eBay..they did nothing to help

·5 months agoWhen you say "weather was causing shipping delays" is that on your end or through the carrier? If it were through the carrier tracking would state "Running Behind." If it was running behind then any appeal through Ebay would granted. Yours wasn't. If it took you awhile to ship the package out then Ebay could say you missed the handling time. They have no way of knowing of weather delay on your end. Now there is an issue that the buyer brought up. Do you think you responded politely? Just think about that for a second. Responding with erratic messages doesn't resolve the issue. You are the seller. You are ultimately responsible for this. If the buyer doesn't receive the item within the time frame you must refund and file a lost claim. I would've been more polite. Remember this is a customer.

·5 months agoTake the opportunity now to respond to the negative feedback that puts you in a positive light. How a seller responds to a negative is more meaningful and powerful than any positive when we read through the feedbacks

·5 months agoThe ability to block buyers (and ones that ask stupid questions that your instinct tells you they are going to be agro) is a very underused facility on ebay.

·5 months agoThis sounds correct, even though we use ebay approved partner corporations sellers still get hit when corporations get things wrong, corporations always win, then when things go wrong thers nothing that can be done about it, we mesage, call and email but the machine on the other end is set uo to protect the corporation, you have to have broad shoulders now and be prepared to take hits.
