Ebay adding a Pop up window when purchasing ship labels that can result in Buying unwanted insurance
Recently when buying shipping labels from Ebay I am encountering annoying pop up windows from Ebay to purchase additional insurance, WHICH I NEVER HAVE DONE, DON'T WAN'T to DO and would never intentionally do. Despite my best efforts to shut this pop up window down multiple times without agreeing to purchase extra shipping insurance it did happen at least once that I know of that Ebay managed to charge me the extra insurance without my knowledge. My label receipts do not disclose this charge! It is only visible on my Ebay order details where the label charge exceeds what my printed receipt shows!. This is NOT RIGHT!!
I was surprised recently to see a USPS label that I purchased for $7.96 and my printed receipt shows it to be $7.96 but on my Ebay order details it is shown to be $11.13 I called customer support and they insisted that they could not see where I paid $7.96 but only could see the $11.13 charge. Finally I discovered in my Paypal account where the charge from Ebay was $7.96 but with an additional liability coverage of $3.17 . I am wondering how many other sellers are getting CAUGHT in this, what I will call, deception!

·8 months agoDon't know. Been seeing that for over 1 year. Never was charged it as I just 'close' the box (or deny or whatever is needed.)
It will never go away. Just another way to boost income for the site so you have to pay attention when purchasing labels.
