DoorDash delivery?
This is the 2nd time but I bought a bag of dog food. The very next day it was delivered by doordash but it wasn’t my name. So I ordered another bag from a different seller and the same thing. Doordash, different name and a piece of paper from petco. I was texted too so it was my order but not my name. I looked up the seller and he is in Israel. Is this a scam where they use someone else’s card to order but get the cash from selling it at half the price since they can’t get cash from a stolen card? I am so totally confused. I went back to look at the first seller I bought from but he was no longer an account holder. I hope I do t have someone’s order from a stolen card!

·2 years agoA lot of times, it's a drop shipper.
You sit at home and receive thousands of thousands of coupon codes.
You then use a stock photo you found on the net to list these items you don't have.
When one sells, you order it, use your coupon code, and specify where it should be shipped.
Big potential for things to go wrong

·2 years agoPretty sure that Petco is not doing any drop shipping for sellers, so this would be that the seller is buying from Petco after the sale, who in turn ship the item to this buyer. That would be Retail Arbitration, which is against eBay rules.
Think you are right about wrong name on the credit card, stolen card sounds about right. Glad that seller got busted!

·2 years agoThere are a huge number of people in a large number of countries who are arranging to drop ship products from retailers to Ebay and Amazon buyers who fail to shop their orders.
These orders would violate Amazon rules because they do not include paperwork showing the seller as the seller of record.
I have no clue whether these violate Ebay rules and if they do, how Ebay enforces these rules.
IMO it is probably not a stolen credit card. It is probably that Ebay buyers do not shop at Petco.

Twice.
So basically you got what you ordered. What's the problem?
Maybe it was the actual (not screen) name of the seller.
We all know that there are drop shippers using Chinese companies to fulfill their orders. I once ordered something from an eBay seller on the east coast and a local Nevada WalMart delivered it to me.
Maybe this is just another way of drop shipping.

·2 years agoAll these companies are branching our in search of additional revenue streams. Uber will come to your house, pickup packages and deliver them (with scanned proof) to the USPS, UPS or FedEx (your choice). $5.00

Door dash delivers not only from fast food restaurants they also deliver from Dollar general, Walgreens and CVS

OP2 years agoIt was very cheap..half the price or more. But this 2nd seller has been with EBay since 2021.
