Do I pay shipping costs when shipping to a GSP center?
Lets say I have a listing that charges $5 flat rate for USPS First Class shipping in the USA. If I enable the Global Shipping Program (GSP) on that listing does that mean the buyer doesn't have to pay that $5 since that's for domestic? If so, does that mean I would have to pay for shipping to the GSP center? I don't see any options on how to charge the buyer for the shipping cost of sending it to the GSP center. I know that eBay handles all the international stuff and charges the buyer upfront for that.

·3 years agoFirst, GSP is going away in favor of Ebay International (or whatever it's called)- but BOTH are the same:
You charge what you charge.
You BUY a shipping label to ship it to Kentucky (or wherever the 'new' place is).
The Buyer is paying GPS (or the other) whatever amount they see fit which includes
a.) domestic shipping cost
b.) international shipping cost
c.) repacking & handling
d.) Taxes and/or Customs
All in one price.
YOU still pay for the shipping label as if though you sold an item to anyone in the USA.

OP3 years agoSo in my example, if the domestic USA shipping option I have is $5 USPS First Class, an international buyer from say France would still pay that $5? Sorry I'm still 100% clear on this part.

You handle everything as if it is a domestic sale and are responsible to ship package to the USA destination. Your eBay fees are charged like domestic sale (ebay only includes the $5 US shipping fee when calculating your fees).
The buyer in France pays a shipping fee of $5 PLUS the eBay International Fee.
If you click on the order page you can see total paid by buyer. Other then that, you will never see the eBay international fee. eBay International Shipping portion is not included in your eBay transactions or in eBay fee calculations (even though buyer paid the combined shipping of $5 + eBay International Shipping).

·3 years agoNo; they would pay more, but all YOU will see is the Item plus the $5 and then you pay the $5 (or whatever a shipping label costs) to get it to the US GSP location.
You can easily see what a buyer would pay by going to any one of your listings, scroll down and click the little tab that says 'shipping' and then click the US and a drop down shows- choose a country and click the button and you will see what they see when they look at your listing.
Since you are not on the system yet, you can click my listings and do the 'shipping' test. For example, when I changed USA to United Kingdom- the shipping went from $8.95 to $26.55 and that $26.55 is what a person in the UK would see.
