Delayed Payment Release Despite Confirmed Delivery: Seeking Resolution
I shipped an item to a buyer, and DHL's tracking shows it was delivered on December 27, 2024. However, the proof of delivery on DHL’s website doesn’t display the buyer's ZIP code. I contacted DHL to have this corrected, but they told me there’s no option to update that information, even though they confirmed the package was delivered to the buyer’s address.
Additionally, the tracking states it was delivered to "COLUMBUS - WESTWhen I reached out to eBay for assistance, their agents said I have to wait until February 6 to have my funds released. They also suggested contacting the buyer to confirm they received the package or asking them to leave positive feedback. I’ve tried reaching the buyer through eBay messages and by phone, but I haven’t received any response.
Here are my concerns:
1. If the buyer had any issue with the item, they would have likely opened a return case by now, but they haven’t.
2. Why should I, as a seller, have to wait this long for my funds to be released, especially when eBay’s own policy states that payment holds are supposed to be released 5 days after the order is delivered?
Any suggestions on how I can resolve this would be greatly appreciated.
