Combined Shipping with eBay International Shipping Service
I sell mostly small collectibles like pins and non-sports trading cards. Recently I have been focusing on Star Wars trading cards.
Twice in the last month I have had international buyers cancel because on their end the auctions showed my combined shipping rate for multiple items. However, eBay's international shipping service does not allow combination of items when they are auctions. As they cannot be combined, the buyers have cancelled their order.
Is there any way to change my shipping preferences so that they do not show combined pricing for International buyers?

·1 year agoIt's showing up in your "Shipping, Returns, and Payments" section, and you can see it for yourself by viewing one of your auctions/listings and changing the shipping location from the US to another country on the list:
Maybe I'm missing something, but I'm not sure this is the issue you think it is. If you're using eBay International Shipping, you're going to be shipping the items in the same manner as you would to a domestic buyer, so wouldn't your combined shipping rule apply when shipping the items to the eIS hub?
I guess I must be thinking that this would work the same as with a BIN and it probably doesn't for auctions because the buyers can't use the cart to purchase. Sorry, just answered my own question, I think.

The $1.95 each additional is a combined shipping rule and applies only to the domestic portion of shipping.
When buyer is international they are under the impression that will apply with eIS.
Seller's listings are all auction format which are not eligible for combined shipping with eIS.
Even if they were all fixed price format it would be misleading because the combined ship rule only applies to the domestic portion of the eIS total cost.
Now if these were fixed price listings, not auction, that re-surfaces an issue we've discussed many times in the past. eBay removed the Quantity box when they transitioned from the shipping tab to the shipping pop up. At least if it was a multi quantity fixed price listing changing the quantity would give a more realistic view before buyer takes the next step and adds to cart.
Can you also re-submit some of the previous comments I provided on the shipping pop up? Specifically, the pain points created because sellers/buyers cannot change quantity on the shipping pop up? See this post for reference.

OP1 year agoI don't have a screenshot or anything. I'm just going based on what my buyers have told me. They said that in the auction listing in the shipping details it mentions my combined shipping price for additional items. I have no shipping details listed in my descriptions, so it is coming from the shipping policies I have set.
