Combined Shipping - Ebay calculated but too low!
I had 3 items finishing at slightly different times. I was in touch with the buyer as she had asked a question, and I knew she was bidding on #3. I told her to WAIT for my invoice for a s/h recalculation. She is a very experienced buyer.
The highest shipping on an item was $12.55, the others less. It was for Standard (USPS Ground)
I didn't have a chance to send the combined invoice before Ebay jumped the gun and sent one for me late last night (while I was sleeping!), automated, and it said $9.80 PRIORITY for all 3 items. So that's what she paid.
I cannot ship Priority for that.
1) Why would Ebay have invoiced her at less than the highest cost I had indicated, for one of the three items?
2) I can cancel that invoice and send a new one, with the actual shipping, and offer her both Ground and Priority to choose, and pay the appropriate amount? That's not going to get me any stars or good feedback LOL

·2 years agoIt looks like the buyer paid the ship cost for the autograph book which offered a choice of priority or ground adv. And the buyer did not pay ship cost on the gloves or beaded bag.
Does that sound accurate to you @adornitall ?

My Combined shipping is set up to ADD ALL shipping costs.
I use Calculated shipping and refund the overage when and if Buyers pay before an updated invoice can be generated. (I saw your other post that you use Flat rate.)
eBay is now sending invoices and has actually advised Seller not to unless they are changing something like the shipping cost. They are actually advising Sellers NOT to send invoices unless they are making a change to the transaction.
You can still ship USPS Ground Advantage, your customer should understand the situation. Delivery may be a day or two later depending on how far it has to go so even if an INR claim is files your uploaded tracking will protect you in the claim by showing movement PLUS you can contact eBay and ask for an extension (they grant UP to 4 days from the day you speak with them).

OP2 years agoBy the way, I do mostly Flat shipping, not Ebay calculated. That's what the $12.55 was, for Ground for one item.
