Combine shipping discounts
I have a buyer who bought 5 items after making an offer. Ebay automatically charged them the shipping on each item. Normally I just change to the new weight and refund the difference. When I tried to change the weight on one of the items to the new weight it does not change anything. It shows the new weight and size of the package but still has the original shipping price. This has never been a problem before so has something changed?

·2 weeks agoEbay's shipping is still glitchy at best. I just processed an order to TN and ebay wants to charge $8.40 for a 2oz package via Ground Advantage. This is an error. I recommend getting a USPS Business rate account. When these glitches happen, I go to usps.com and process the order there. That same TN order only cost $5.47. Business Rate at USPS is free. (You can then refund the buyer the extra shipping without any loss)

The previous answer is correct, and you can find out more about the new shipping pricing in the first article at the top of this page. There are other ones in the left hand column Under the Categories header. Click on Announcements. You can also go to the USPS site and look for the Ground Advantage price increases. You may also want to do an online search for "What does the USPS consider to be a Rural zip code". They recently added a surcharge to "Rural" areas as well. The A.I. article for the above search explains how the rural designation is applied.

·2 weeks ago@vae3566v15 USPS made adjustments to some weight classes and prices increased for certain zip codes. It is quite possible there is no longer a price difference especially if you are talking about small, lightweight items.
