Combine shipping
Okay, I’m sure this has already been asked and answered but I just am trying to clarify because I am having trouble getting my head completely around it.
Currently I have a buyer with 6 separate lots of LEGO wanting to combine shipping.
All listings are using calculated shipping and I have set my account to allow for combined shipping (combine weights of items when combined)
Should the shipping be combined automatically in their shopping cart, or is there something extra I must do to combine the shipping? OR, is it something extra that the buyer needs to do?
My goal is to save the buyer shipping costs, each separate lot would cost about $5 on their own, but together they should still cost me around $5 to ship because they are such a small and light item. How do I accomplish this in the easiest way for me and the buyer?

·2 years agoUsually if you have combined shipping set up by weight, then it will combine shipping in the cart. But I put a few of your calculated shipping items in the cart and it did not give me a combined shipping cost. On the listing page at the bottom of the domestic shipping section, there is a box to check off showing that you want that listing to use your combined shipping rule. Do you have that checked off?
Also, at least a couple of your Lego listings have a flat rate shipping amount of $3. Since it is a flat rate, a calculated shipping rule won't apply.

·3 years agoRather than trust ebay's rules for combining lightweight items, as long as the buyer is not using the app and your items aren't either on sale or IPR, I'd tell them to add them all to the cart and request a total so you can send an invoice with the adjusted shipping.

·3 years agoYes for reasons unknown, although it's been years since we first asked, ebay refuses to add that function to the app.
Personally I think it's because the coders for the app are not ebay employees but 3rd party developers and it would probably cost too much lol
