Choices for the "Combined shipping rule" dropdown
I'm trying to list a paperback book. When I get to the Domestic Shipping section on the listing form, there's a dropdown menu titled "Combined shipping rule (optional)". I like to combine shipping, but my only choices in the dropdown are either "None" or "600042018." What does that number mean? I'd appreciate any insight on this.

·6 months agoOk here the answer I got tonight. According to the eBay rep this was just happened tonight for me. Guess earlier for you. eBay seems to not sent out a new letter about this. Even my nice rep was not aware of this. She did much research. Says it just came out midnight.
I didnt make up any rules I recall. I only offer automatic conbined shipping on owners manuals I sell nothing else. Gave me also some random number. She says for now just use use the random number. The yare working on this. But till now I didn't realize buy it with payment due right then and thier cancells cautomatic combined shipping. But I always mentioned in all my ads I gladly combine shipping and just message me with any concerns.
Here is how combine shipping rules works first off as you know.
If you have multiple quanity's of same stuff ( like Brand A perfume) in the same listing and have buy it now it works. If you have different items like many different titled books it will work only if each doesn't have buy it now with payment required before ending. If payment is required before ending it will not work automatically only if they can pay later.
So you can say on your listing with buy it now (and quantity of one amounts) to message you about combined discounts. Then you can take the buy it now off each one that is in question. Then after they buy you can do the old way send them an invoice with the discount.
