Charged for extra shipping

·1 week agoWho added more to the shipping. I find FedEx does that. They add 1 to 2extra inches to the package and then charge more. They done that to me a couple of times. A company that makes that kind of money really needs a few dollars more? SAD REAL SAD.

·1 week agoThis happened to me with Fedex recently. I was charged $1.87 extra, even after I double and triple checked my measurements, they insisted it was 2 inches longer and 2 inches wider. NEVER had this issue with USPS. For reference, I've shipped about 20,000 parcels with USPS, and about 10 with Fedex.

I'm guessing your question is in reference to the Contempee Faux Kiku Flowers Boho Assorted 11 Stems 55 Heads Cream and Brown listing.
You didn't have the correct weight and measurement in the listing. You (presumably) used the correct weight and measurement when you purchased the shipping label.
The reason you were charged more is because you have a flat rate shipping cost of $6.07 for that listing and I doubt $6.07 is enough to cover if you shipped to a buyer in your own city!
I live across the country from you (Massachusetts) and it's $6.07 to ship to me. There's no way a 2 lb. package would ship from Texas to Mass. for that price.

OP1 week agoI had the correct weight and measure in my listing. It was 1 lb. 12 oz. and was 20 x 8 x 8. It wasn’t a coincidence that EBay edited my account to ship internationally at the same time the packaging went wrong. I would not have noticed it until I listed another item later in the day. Enough said about this. It’s only a couple if dollars, and it won’t be refunded to me.

It looks like you've adjusted some of the shipping prices but your prices are NOT calculated shipping.
Your listings are all fixed prices, meaning they aren't based on measurements, weight or distances being shipped.
You're setting a shipping price and all buyers are charged the same price. As such, it may cost less than what they're paying if they live in a closer zone or more than what you're collecting if they live in a more distant zone.
Your problem is YOUR OWN error in how you set your shipping preferences.

I'm not seeing that ebay did any such thing. You only ship to the US and you don't offer EIS.

OP1 week agoI don’t know who you are or from where you are getting your information. My account is set to calculated shipping, which I checked again after this incident. I have a spreadsheet where I record shipping weights and measures for each package. Please stop sending messages to me.

OP1 week agoAnd as far as your observation that EBay didn’t change my account to international shipping, I had to find and uncheck the toggle switch last night after I discovered they had done it.

I'm responding to your posts to let you know you do NOT have calculated shipping. You have flat rate shipping. NONE of your listings have calculated shipping.
And you will continue to be charged more for your shipping labels than the buyers are paying because you erred and are not listening to what you're being told.

·1 week agoYes I know of a way. You call them on the phone. We are not allowed to post phone numbers so I can not give you one. However if you have ever made a purchase from off eBay and paid with a Credit Card then the phone number should be on your statement. If it is not there call your Card Company and ask for it.

There's no need to speak to someone.
You are undercharging so when you buy the label and put in the correct measurements and weight, you're being charged to CORRECT price.

·1 week agoWas the package larger than 12 x 12 x 12 (Cubic Foot) if so, your package if sent USPS is subject to Dimensional weight, if sent FedEX or UPS - you are subject to Dimensional weight no matter what size package.
The weight has to be rounded up, as does the dimensions, and if you are relying on the dimensions written on the box itself, those are usually interior dimensions - not exterior dimensions.

·1 week ago@cynnew_28 I'm trying to help you to verify what the correct shipping should be, so I need the zip code. I also need to know what date the item sold, what date you bought the label, and what carrier did you use.
eBay didn't make a mistake. You are missing something and I'm trying to help you with that so you understand what happened.

·1 week agoEbay might be making the mistake. I have had four orders since the new discounted rates that the buyer paid the new rate, but the zip code did not qualify for the new rate. These are MQFP listings with over 100 sales with orders that paid the correct new and rural rates. It happens.

Exactly what "new discounted rates" are you talking about?
Was it one of the three changes in May?
How about one of the four changes in June?
No, wait, could it be one of the three changes in July?
Or one of the three changes in August?

You are absolutely correct. The OP keeps insisting he has calculated shipping but he has fixed price shipping at prices too low to cover the cost. As such, he's being charged for the underpayments and unless and until corrections are made, it's going to continue happening.

OP1 week agoThat is not accurate. I’m a new reseller and I watch all my shipping. Every one of my sales has been with calculated shipping. I checked it after this incident and it was still set to calculated shipping. If you can see my account you should be able to see that. Anything else was on EBay’s end
