Changed address, during on the way to authenticator
Summary: timebomb81 is facing an issue with a shipped gift that was sent to an old address because their cousin has moved. They are concerned about the shipping policy which does not allow address changes after shipping. jonathanbrightlight suggests setting up mail forwarding with USPS to redirect the package to the new address.
Hi sir. Got problem after shipping!
After bought a item, didnt check shipping address.
It was my cousion gift for birthday, as usual i just purchase item n nice seller ship it to authenticator directly. After check ship, i notify story to my cousin. “ hello blah blah just sent a gift for u wait for days” he told me that “ on no!!! I moved out already” he will go to vacation n bought a flight ticket already so he cant go back to previous address. Is there any way to solver problem?
Even i checked shipping policy “after ship, impossible to change new address” if i touch aauthenticator, n ask please change address, is it possible? Do not have any idea. Oh no …
Thanks for reading in busy! If there is anyone who have same experience let me know it or hv idea. Let me know masters!!!!! Please help me

·Sep 7, 2026 at 12:24 PMCalling the authenticators won't work. eBay's system is completely locked down for security, meaning the authentication hub is legally required to ship the package to the exact address on the order. They cannot manually change it for you.
Watch the tracking information - as the authenticators will upload a new tracking number, as soon as they do have your cousin immediately submit a temporary mail hold or mail forwarding request with the carrier so the package doesn't get left at the old address while they are on vacation.
